Hi, I'm Vicky. Before I became a qualified counsellor, I worked in health and social care as a health care assistant, primarily focusing on dementia care. With over twenty years of experience in this sector, I bring valuable knowledge into the counselling room when needed. I have served as a volunteer counsellor for CGL Pathways to Recovery in Warrington and Wired Carers Services based on the Wirral. My foundations lie in using an integrative counselling approach, meaning that our sessions will always focus on you, and I will tailor them to meet your unique needs by incorporating various therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), parts work, or mindfulness. I specialise in providing mental health support for adults dealing with stress, anxiety, bereavement, trauma, and addictions, both in-person from my therapy room in Warrington and online throughout the UK. I am deeply passionate about breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and helping individuals gain a better understanding of themselves.
I hold qualifications in the following:
As a qualified counsellor, I am dedicated to an integrative counselling approach that emphasises ongoing personal and professional development. I engage in regular training and CPD (Continuing Professional Development) to expand my knowledge in essential areas such as stress management and bereavement support. I am committed to providing effective mental health support, working within my competence and attending regular supervision to reflect on and uphold ethical and non-discriminatory practices.
