About Me
Welcome to VJM Counselling
My name is Vicky and I am based in Warrington, Cheshire. Thank you for taking some time to find out about me. I provide online or telephone counselling, from the comfort of your own home. I also offer walk and talk therapy within the local parks.
I understand that the idea of visiting a counsellor can be daunting but in using a friendly, person-centred approach I hope to put you at ease. Counselling is an opportunity for you to explore whatever is on your mind and to make sense of your thoughts and emotions.
Qualifications & Experience
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their ethical framework for good practice. I studied at Warrington and Vale Royal College where I gained a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I undergo continuous professional development to better my practice and deliver the best service I possibly can. I have volunteered with CGL Pathways to Recovery and Wired Carers Services and have experience in counselling people with addictions, & issues associated with anxiety, bereavement and trauma. I also have 20 years experience of working in Health and Social Care, where I supported the elderly and their loved ones through difficult times. This may have been a health diagnosis such as dementia or anticipatory grief.
